I have recently had a total hysterectomy and excision of severe endometriosis performed by Mr Jan and his team. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to Mr Jan for his approach, professionalism and amazing surgical skill in expertly carrying out my major and complicated surgery. Having had anxieties from the way previous operations had been carried out by other surgeons in the past, I was put at ease and reassured throughout the process by Mr Jan’s approach and I recovered from the operation unbelievably quickly, despite having some infections post op. When I was recovering in hospital the nurses told me that if ever they needed to see gynaecologist they would want to see Mr Jan, and I would echo that 100%. The surgery has totally changed my life for the better and I have never felt better and I will be forever grateful to Mr Jan for that. My only regret is that I hadn’t seen him earlier in my life.

I had originally been under the care of another consultant who unfortunately was unwell, and Mr. Jan kindly agreed to take me on at short notice. I am a single mother of 2, living with my mother of 85, so it was paramount that I had my operation and recovery during the summer holidays so that I could be back in action in time for the new school year, and ready once again for long school runs - and I was running out of time! I literally met Mr. Jan in clinic Wednesday evening and he operated on me first thing the next morning! In clinic he was patient, listened well (illustrated by accurate and informative letters promptly forwarded by efficient and friendly secretary Helen) being prepared to explain operative procedures and show visual pictures to extend my comprehension. My full hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy (removal of ovaries) went brilliantly! Mr. Jan, who specialises in minimally invasive surgery, performed the whole procedure by keyhole surgery, and my cuts were tiny and incisive. Incredible! This man is very skilled! With less risks involved and a quicker recovery, I was extremely happy and back on the road again within 4 weeks! I had taken into hospital with me packs of my heaviest pads expecting a lot of bleeding, but there was none at all - truly amazing. I feel so fortunate that I was referred to Mr. Jan and thank him enormously for the remarkable job that he has done. I was very nervous about my operation for the sake of my family, and was so relieved that I had been in such diligent hands. I was out of hospital and back with them after 2 days, which was fantastic. If you choose Mr. Jan, you are in the expert care of a highly-skilled surgeon and a sincere and empathic professional man.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy in April 2017 by Dr Jan. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery and recovered extremely well. Dr Jan was so professional and made me feel at ease and gave me enough information to understand the surgery and the recovery and it was very easy to ask questions. The whole team working with Dr Jan were all very professional and understanding. I would recommend Dr Jan to anyone he is a very caring and understanding. Thank you Dr Jan.
